Can capitalism be sustainable? How can we fight against increasing inequalities, at every scale of our economies that are increasingly fluid and connected? Those are the questions asked by Marie-Laure Djelic, PhD Harvard 1996 and University Professor at the Sciences Po Centre of Organisational Sociology. Her findings focus on the contemporary transformations of capitalism, on the spreading of globalisation and the dynamics of regulation and governance in a globalised economic environment, and on the social responsibility of companies and their political role in this context. In the present context, marked by the social protests in the past weeks, it is high time to take a look at the latest evolutions in terms of social and political transition. Marie-Laure Djelic will introduce key ideas to rethink our current economic model, in order to make it more human and sustainable.
