Albert Ogien is a sociologist, director of research emeritus at the CNRS, and a teacher at EHESS Paris. His early work focused on psychiatry and drug addiction. Since 2010, Albert Ogien has conducted research with philosopher Sandra Laugier in order to analyze civil disobedience and the wave of demonstrations following the Arab Spring, as well as to understand populism and citizen activism. Does disobedience make us stronger? Or does it make us more radical? These are the questions which he will address this summer.
